Glossary
The words this wiki uses in a specific sense: task, route, receipt, ledger, uncertain, work copy, capability.
🎯 For Newcomers
- Use the wiki's terms precisely
- Spot ambiguous words like free and open source
Terms are listed in the sense this wiki uses them. Where a word has a looser meaning elsewhere, the stricter definition wins here.
Account limit — the maximum spend the service allows for an account over a period (for example, per UTC day). Separate from the task cap.
Capability — a product action an article can point to: open the chat, install the extension, check usage. Articles declare capability slugs, and the page renders them as "next steps".
Canonical URL — the one address a page wants to be known by. A fallback page (English text shown under a Ukrainian URL) is marked noindex and points its canonical to the English original.
Checked date — the date a human opened a source and confirmed the sentence it supports. Not the publication date of the source.
Draft / in review / published / archived — the four editorial states. Only published is public, and only when a publication date is also set.
Fallback — showing the English text on a not-yet-translated page, with a notice, instead of pretending the page is translated.
Judge — a separate, read-only check of a result against acceptance criteria. A judge may not edit the work it judges and may not approve its own changes.
Ledger — the append-only record of attempts, with tokens, cost and state. Receipts are what a user sees; the ledger is what the service keeps.
Preview (sponsored) — the starting allowance for a new self-service account: 5 tasks, 50,000 tokens, USD 0.05 total, from a shared pool of USD 1 per UTC day. A preview, not a price plan.
Receipt — the per-task record of provider, model, tokens, limit and spend shown in Usage. The authoritative answer to "what did this cost".
Revision — the previous state of an article, written on every content-changing edit: body, sources, translations and status, plus an optional change note.
Route — a named policy for model selection. You pick a route; the service picks the model and records which one answered.
Task — one question or one dsh run, with its own cap and receipt. A task is not a conversation and not a project.
Task cap — the maximum a single task may spend, reserved before the first request.
Uncertain — a task state where the service cannot prove whether the call was billed (typically a timeout or a server error). It is never rewritten as zero, and it blocks further paid turns until reconciled.
Work copy — an independent copy of a repository for one worker or lane. Required for parallel agents: two writers in one tree overwrite each other.
dsh reconcile — the command that inspects an uncertain task or grant and recovers it using the saved idempotency key. It never resends inference.
🔹 Where a term is ambiguous
- "Model" — in this wiki it means the model named in a receipt. The composer control selects a route, not a model.
- "Free" — only the sponsored preview is free to the user. Nothing else is implied to be free.
- "Open source" — a public repository is not automatically Open Source. Each component's licence is checked separately.
➡️ Next
- Sources and verification — how the claims here are checked.
- Costs, budgets and limits — the receipt in detail.
Sources
Each source was opened by a human on the date shown. Product behaviour is described from this deployment, not from marketing material.

A repeatable recipe: check the page, the index, the sitemap, the receipt and the code — and know when the honest answer is “not verified”.
EditorialSources, dates and what “verified” means
A checked date is the date a human opened the source. Documentation, code and a runtime test are three different levels of evidence — and we label them.
EditorialHow this wiki is edited and published
Articles live in Django with an editorial status, a source list, a reviewer and a revision log. Nothing reaches /wiki/ without passing those gates.
